Moji Olaiya's Death Too Shocking, Many Still Can't Believe

Shock hit many followers of Nigerian film industry on Thursday when news of celebrated actress, Moji Olaiya death surfaced in the social media.

Moji, daughter of highlife veteran, Victor Olaiya, was said to have died in an hospital in Canada.

Apart from continuing to make waves on the screen, Olaiya was in the news in March when she gave birth to her second baby from another marriage, having remained a divorcee for years.

She was 42. Unconfirmed reports said she died of cardiac arrest.

Many of her former colleagues and fans expressed shock and agonised over her death.

While Funke Akindele described the passage as a sad departure of a great talent, another actor, Femi Branch, said Olaiya was kind-hearted.

On his part, popular comedian Bolaji Amusan noted that although Olaiya was a daughter of a great musician, she radiated modesty all through.
