From all indications, it's due to wrong information flying around. The late Senate Isiaka Adeleke was said to have died from drugs overdose complications. But before the autopsy some in his home town had alleged that he was poisoned by Governor Rauf Aregbesola's camp. That was how angry mourners at the Ede residence of late Adeleke attacked and injured the lady, Idiat Babalola, a prominent Ede indigene, who is one of the commissioner-nominees of Governor Aregbesola for coming to pay her last respects to the departed politician.

The rent fees which was revealed by the Prophet of God as well as other detailed information of the family led to widespread jubilation in the crusade venue.

A federal high court in Abuja has granted bail to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Justice Binta Nyako granted Kanu bail on “health grounds”. Kanu, alongside other three pro-Biafra agitators, has been facing trial for treason. The other Biafran agitators are Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi. Nyako had earlier quashed six of the charges against them, but she sustained that of treason. Ayo Fayose, governor of Ekiti state, had earlier joined Kanu at the court. Journalists were barred from witnessing the proceedings by the operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS). Femi Fani-Kayode was also barred from entering the court room where the case was held.

The Kano Emirate Council has debunked allegations that Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II inherited N4 billion from his predecessor, the late Alhaji Ado Abdullahi Bayero. According to the Walin Kano, Alhaji Mahe Bashir Wali, it was untrue that the Emirate spent the N6 billion left behind by the former Emir. Addressing reporters at the Emir’s Palace, Wali clarified that  Sanusi II inherited only N1, 893, 378, 927.38, as against N4 billion allegedly inherited by the Emir. He said: “Before the appointment of His Highness, the Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, CON. The Kano Emirate Council has the sum of N2, 875, 168, and 431.17 under various Banks as Fixed Deposit Accounts, out of which N981, 784, 503.79 was withdrawn and used during the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero on 7/2/2014 for the payment of Ado Bayero Royal City Project leaving a balance of N1, 893, 378, 927.38 with various banks.” The Kano Emirate Council further stated that about N152, 627,723.00 was paid to Dabo Gate

The Lagos State Government has approved sealing of a Lekki-based Church, This Present House, for violating building regulations. The church - ‘The Dome’ - is on Freedom Way, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. It belongs to popular pastor Dr. Tony Rapu. According to a statement, the owners of the church contravened Lagos State Regional and Urban Planning Law 2010 by building without title documents and requisite building permit. The statement by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Anifowoshe Abiola, stated that the government would not fold its arms and watch a brazen contravention of the law that could endanger lives and property of residents.

An official of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) was on Thursday stabbed by a Nigeria Air Force (NAF) officer over attempt by the latter to force the former to close before the 7pm deadline agreed by stakeholders at the Hajj and Cargo Terminal international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Lagos. Trouble allegedly started when the Air Force officer was trying to enforce the 7:00pm close time agreed by stakeholders. The NAF officers did not wait for 7:00pm, but decided to chase out workers, including agents and NDLEA officials out of the area, a situation which the NDLEA official resisted.

Nigerian-born ex-England international defender, Ugochukwu Ehiogu, has died after suffering a cardiac arrest on Thursday. He was 44. Ugo, as he's fondly called, suffered the cardiac arrest at the training ground of Tottenham Hotspur, where he was managing the U-23 team. His death was announced by his employers on Friday morning.

Suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Babachir Lawal is gone for good. He is no longer a part of the Muhammadu Buhari administration. This was the declaration of Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), Prof Itse Sagay (SAN) while reacting to Lawal’s suspension. Sagay accused the former SGF of violating the Code of Conduct for public officials by awarding a contract to a company linked to him. “I think the suspensions are inevitable, and in my view they are a journey to total disengagement. “The SGF is a top member of the administration. He should have known that for him to award a contract to his own company is absolutely prohibited by the Code of Conduct and the Constitution. What he was doing was illegal and unconstitutional."

From what she posted on her IG page, former Miss World, Agbani Darego became Mrs Danjuma on Saturday April 8th.   The 33yrs old lady married Ishaya Danjuma, 1st son of billionaire, Theophilus Danjuma. According to sources, their wedding was so private that it had only 35 people in attendance. It held at the Amanjena-Luxury Resort in Marrakech, Morocco. Ishaya is said to be in his 30s, been married once to an Asian lady but no kids. Congrats to them!

A representative has confirmed to ABC News that Janet Jackson and husband, Wissam Al Mana, are not getting a divorce, but separating. This comes just months after Janet gave birth to their first child, a son named Eissa Al Mana. They got married in 2012 in a secret ceremony that was revealed a year later.  However, their prenuptial agreement guaranteed Janet Jackson $500 million if she stayed in the marriage for 5 years.  Now 5 years, 2 months after, they are separating and people are kind saying she is a ‘gold digger’. Just yesterday I watched Prophet TB Joshua live on TV healing people, he mentioned something like two world powers could go to war if the issue in Syria is not well managed. Now it seems Russsian President, Vladimir Putin, and America's Donald Trump, are set for a fall out that could lead to a show of force between both super power nations. Coming after the United States airforce launched an airstrike on Syria, the Russian Government has warned the United States to back off or be prepared for real war. The fallout comes after Pres. Trump in the early hours of Friday, ordered airstrikes (pictured) on a Syrian airbase in the first direct attack by the US against Assad, due to alleged chemical attack.

The Oba of Benin on Saturday received as gifts two tortoises said to be 117 years old. He received the tortoises when he visited traditional rulers in the Edo North senatorial district. He was received at the palace of Otaru of Auchi, His Royal Highness, Aliyu Momoh, Ikelebe III, in the Etsako West Local Government Area of the state. During the visit, Oba Ewuare called on traditional rulers in Edo State to promote measures aimed at conserving the environment and encouraging forest regeneration. He urged the traditional rulers in the area to support his initiative on youth empowerment and job creation.

Lagos State Government has denied killing residents of Otodo Gbame during a recent demolition exercise carried out in the area. An official of the state government, who requested anonymity, categorically denied that the state’s officials killed any resident of the riverine settlement and said this security measure was taken in the overall interest of all Lagosians stating that “these stories are malicious and mischievious”.

The National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control has threatened to sanction market leaders in Anambra for "shielding" those who produce fake and adulterated products. NAFDAC chief regulatory officer, Enforcement/Investigation Directorate, Hassan Abubakar made the threat on Saturday during a raid on Ogbaru Relief Market, near Onitsha. Abubakar wondered why market leaders would not act while fake and adulterated products were produced and sold in markets under their watch. Tanko called for collaboration of the market leadership with NAFDAC to combat the scourge. He said the agency would continue sensitisation against counterfeiting and unwholesome products as well as carry out regular enforcements and prosecution of offenders to deter others from the illegal business.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan, a former Attorney-General of the Federation, Mohammed Adoke (SAN), as well as some members of the National Assembly may have received about $400m from the $1.3bn paid by oil giants - Shell and Eni - into a Federal Government escrow account. A former Russian Ambassador and Intelligence Officer, Ednan Agaev, was quoted as saying this while speaking with officials of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States as well as Italian prosecutors, according to a report by an American news website, Buzzfeed. Detectives in the US, the Netherlands and Italy are jointly investigating the $1.3bn Malabu scam which have described as the biggest single scam ever perpetrated against Nigerians.
