Innocent Ike Emerges Polaris Bank Acting MD/CEO

  Innocent C. Ike has been appointed as the acting managing director of Polaris Bank Limited. Ike’s appointment was announced by the bank’s board in a statement on Saturday. He will succeed Tokunbo Abiru, who recently retired from the bank after he was nominated by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos state as a replacement for Bayo Osinowo, the deceased senator who represented Lagos East senatorial district.

Dr Prince Kazeem Eletu, who has largely contributed to the development in the real estate industry, under the auspices of his company, Kazeem Royal Properties Ltd,  has been 'born again'. If that seems true, we thank God for his life. He is welcome to the born again fold. In a variety of posts on his social media page, Kazeem Royal, both Instagram and Facebook, he has been constantly preaching ways to live a good life, how to move closer to God. However, this got people wowed that he could suddenly change to from his corporate and private life to becoming an evangelist. He said in a post "The wickedness in this world is expanding daily. People are becoming desperately wicked. So sad! Almighty God created laws to guide us so we can live in love,peace and harmony with each other but we never abide by it. Instead we created laws that we use to judge and punish ourselves," he posted.

Governor Sanwo-Olu orders reopening of tertiary institutions in the state on September 14

  Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has ordered the reopening of tertiary institutions in the state effective Monday, September 14.   The governor disclosed this development during a regular briefing on the state’s COVID-19 status on Saturday, August 29.   During his address, the governor announced that primary and secondary schools are also tentatively scheduled to re-open from September 21.

CAMA 2020: CASON Urges Churches To Reposition for Accountability, Growth

  The Church Administrators Society of Nigeria (CASON) has announced the need for churches in Nigeria to see the new Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) 2020 as a call to reposition themselves; improve self-regulation and entrench proper administration, rather than see it as persecution by government. Addressing professional members, invited pastors, church administrators and members of the public at a webinar hosted online in Lagos, Nigeria Wednesday August 25, CASON President, Pastor Seyi Oladimeji said, “Understanding the law and applying it to the way churches are run is an administrative issue. That is why we seek to educate The Church today.”

  American R&B singer, Marques Houston, 39, has married his 19-year-old girlfriend Miya Dickey.   The pair exchanged vows at the Eagle Glen Golf Club in Corona, California on Monday, August 24. The wedding was attended by a small group of friends and family members of the couple.   Houston shared the exciting news and photos from their wedding via his Instagram page.    He wrote in one of his posts :  'We can’t believe the day has finally come! The day when the two of us were bonded together before Jehovah to become one. Jehovah has blessed us with a true happiness that is unmatched! Matthew 19: 5,6 “For this reason a man will leave his father and his mother and will stick to his wife, and the two will be one flesh” 6 So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has yoked together, let no man put apart.'

Nigeria will witness a turn around if an Igbo man emerges president in 2023- Ohaneze Ndigbo president, Nnia Nwodo

  The President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex Igbo socio-cultural group, Nnia Nwodo, says Nigeria will witness a turnaround in fortune if an Igbo man emerges President of the country in 2023.  Nwodo said this in a congratulatory message he sent to Nigerian-born  Kelechi Madu , the newly appointed Minister of Justice and Solicitor General in Alberta, Canada.  In the congratulatory message signed by Emeka Attamah, his media adviser, Nwodo said Madu's achievement in Canada shows that if an Igbo man is elected as President in 2023, Nigeria will be transformed. He appealed to the Federal Government to stop marginalizing and victimizing the Igbos in the country so that their latent creative potentials could be harnessed for the good of all Nigerians.   

Three persons die in boat mishap in Adamawa state

  Three persons identified as Melody M, Isaac G., and James S., have died in a boat mishap that occurred in Adamawa state.  Sahara Reporters reports that the victims, two males, and one female, reportedly drowned while on their way to a burial ceremony in the Lamurde Local Government Area of the state, after the boat capsized.
