A naval rating, Samuel Eze, has been nabbed for alleged car snatching in Edo State. Eze, 24, said he was serving with the Navy in Delta State. He was paraded with a four-man robbery gang, which allegedly specialised in snatching cars and selling them in far away Abuja. Eze claimed he did not belong to the gang but only helped them to escort a Hilux van to Abuja, after which he was given N100,000. He said it was a colleague, Kanu Henry, who asked him to escort the vehicle to Abuja.

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has said Nigerians does not need counselling to reject the ruling All Progressives Congress during the 2019 general elections. According to him, APC's abysmal performance has made the people grow weary of the party. This is just as the governor noted that there was a wide difference in the tolerance levels of former President Goodluck Jonathan and the incumbent, Muhammadu Buhari. Fayose stated this in Ado Ekiti during an interactive session with some journalists.

An official of the Western Naval Command, Apapa, Lagos, Omojoye Ayodele, has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly killing his wife, Mary Egbailo. Mr. Ayodele on Tuesday allegedly beat up the victim till she gave up the ghost at their house on Eze Anthony Street, in the Igando, Alimosho area of the state. It was gathered that the 30-year-old man had gone to bring back the wife from the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in the area, where she was said to have been since Sunday. Shortly after they got home, an argument reportedly ensued between them, which led to a fight. The Ondo State indigene, allegedly beat his 29-year-old wife till she became weak and died. She was said to have been rushed to El Dunamis Hospital, a private medical centre in the area, where she was confirmed dead.

Two suspected masterminds of the kidnapping of pupils and staff members of the Nigerian Turkish International Colleges have been arrested by the police. Apart from the ringleaders, Philip Kakadu, aka General Kakadu, and Romeo Council, aka Raw, other suspects were also said to be undergoing screening in connection with the abduction. It was said that 29-year-old Kakadu and Council, 40, were apprehended in Warri, Delta State, by operatives of the IGP Intelligence Response Team, led by ACP Abba Kyari. Some gunmen had stormed the NTIC last Friday through a hole dug under the school fence and headed for the female hostel, where three pupils were abducted.

Detectives from Homicide Section of the Lagos State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID) have arrested a policeman for allegedly shooting and killing a 21-year-old man, while he was praying at the Lagos Island area of the metropolis. The policeman, attached to the Lion Building Station, was simply identified as Chelsea.  Eyewitnesses said that  the tipsy policeman, slipped and his corked rifle exploded, pumping three bullets into the stomach, right hand and knee of the victim  named Qouzeem Hassan. He was rushed to the Lagos Island General Hospital but he was confirmed dead on arrival. Hmmm...what a tragic end.

Here are the two female student who graduated with grade points of 5.0, from the University Of Lagos, Miss Taiwo Bankole, 22 and Miss Oyindamola Omotuyi 21. Omotuyi who hails from Ondo state studied System Engineering while Bankole from Lagos state studied Cell Biology and Genetics. It was learnt that both were members of Redeemed Campus Fellowship in the university. In an interview with newsmen, the ladies spoke about their journey to success.
