The chairman of the Lagos state chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Apostle Alex Bamgbola, has recently told the former Aviation minister and chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode that he will become the president of Nigeria if he remains humble. Apostle Bamgbola made the pronouncement in Lagos on Sunday, August, 30, at the occasion of Bishop Isaac Idahosa’s celebration of 31 years in ministry.

The Department of State Services and the Lagos State Police Command has denied inviting any entertainer for questioning. A report recently went viral stating that the DSS and the Lagos Police Command invited Don Jazzy and Tiwa Savage concerning political statements they made on social media. The report also said they were later summoned alongside singers Yemi Alade and Waje by Zubairu Muazu , referred to in the report as “ the Lagos State Commissioner of Police .” Muazu was reported to have warned the singers to steer clear of political comments so as to avoid the anger of the regime of the President , Major General Muhammadu Buhari ( retd).

  Manchester United have signed Netherlands midfielder Donny van de Beek from Ajax for £35m, plus £5m in add-ons, on a five-year contract.  Van de Beek, 23, played 175 first-team games for Ajax, scoring 41 goals and helping them make a surprise run to the 2018-19 Champions League semi-finals.
